The Edward Little High School graduation proved that the Auburn school system has completely failed our students.

The top five students gave speeches that were immature and disgusting.

There were families who came miles to witness a huge milestone in their children’s and grandchildren’s lives. What many left with was “what type of education did our children receive?”

When the top five students choose a Ninja Turtle to represent themselves and spoke of bodily functions, other students thought it was inappropriate. For me, the top five students ruined a major accomplishment of all the other students. They showed total disrespect for the education they had supposedly received. Mr. Miller should be ashamed for allowing this to happen, and I am ashamed to say that I had also attended E.L.

The chorus used to be appropriately attired with black and white. At this function, they wore anything they wanted, and what a mixture.

If this is how E.L. teaches our children then there is more to worry about than the budget cuts. It is the whole education system that needs help.

I feel this was such a disgrace. I, as well as others, have a new view of E.L. and that is “What happened to E.L.?”

If they are the top five students, what did the others learn?
