I read with much interest the article on the 10-year project to transform the area bordering downtown Lewiston (June 11).

I believe this project will work, and I hope the city uses wisdom and sense in the creation of it.

Any people displaced by this project need funds and a place to stay until it is completed. These displaced people also need to be considered first for residents of any new or renovated buildings. I am sure the city of Lewiston does not want any lawsuits or pressure from HUD or pressure from the federal congressional offices for not following the rules.

I wish the city well on a project that should benefit all.
