LEWISTON – Nine-year-old country singer Brian Philip Wardwell will appear at this year’s Festival de Joie.

Brian started his singing career at the age of 5. In March of 2003, he earned the title of New Country Male Entertainer of the Year (7 to 12 years old).

With only a few weeks left before the 12th annual festival, the committee is looking for additional participants for the parade on Wednesday, July 28, as well as crafters and vendors for Prelude 2004 on Wednesday and Thursday July 28 and 29.

The Festival de Joie will be held on July 30, 31 and Aug. 1 at Railroad Park and also has a few openings for crafters.

One of the most pressing issue at this time is getting volunteers. More than 175 volunteers are needed to assure the success of the event. A volunteer meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, June 21, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 150 East Ave. Everyone is invited. For more information call 207-782-6231 or go to www.festivaldejoie.org.
