-Fort Ticonderoga, Ticonderoga, N.Y., June 26-27.

Grand Encampment of the French and Indian War, involving more than 800 re-enactors portraying British, provincial, French, Canadian and American Indian forces. Also: July 8, wreath-laying ceremony to commemorate the 246th anniversary of the Battle of Carillon, won by the French over a vastly larger British-led force.

-Old Fort Niagara, Youngstown, N.Y., July 23-25.

About 1,000 re-enactors will gather to recreate the 1759 siege at the fort located where the Niagara River empties into Lake Ontario. Battle demonstrations and living history programs scheduled.
