LEWISTON – Rosaire O’Neil Corriveau, 78, of 64 Hills Ridge Road, Greene and formerly of Gilead went to be with our Almighty Father in heaven on Father’s day, June 20 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston.
He was born in Quebec, Canada on Nov. 13, 1925 the son of Daire and Octavia (Corriveau) Corriveau and lived most of his life in Gilead, until illness forced him to move in with his daughters. He was a member of Holy Family church in Gorham, N.H. Prior to his retirement he was employed by the Canadian National Railroad and later as a construction worker. He loved to travel.
Members of the family include four daughters, Cecelia Morrissette of South Paris, Terri Cyr of Greene, Susan Corriveau of Rochester, N.H. and Rita Bates of Farmington, N.H.; three sons, Lawrence Corriveau of New Glocester, Michael Corriveau of Waterford and Neil Corriveau of Oxford; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Fernand of Gilead, Lauriat of Locke Mills, Jack of Gilead, Florian of Portland and Denis of Canton; two sisters, Muriel Couillard of Canada and Jeannette Marr of Rumford and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife, Winona (Russell) Corriveau, June 30, 1996 and by a daughter, Diane Corrigan, April 21, 1985.
