His character’s partner has left the building, but “Law & Order” actor Jesse L. Martin (Detective Ed Green) is close to reupping with Dick Wolf’s flagship NBC franchise for several more years, according to buzz in the biz.

Martin, who joined “L&O” in ‘99, will get a new partner this season, to be played by Dennis Farina. Jerry Orbach (Detective Lennie Brisco) left after 12 seasons to costar on the “L&O” midseason spinoff, “Trial by Jury,” as an investigator for the district attorney’s office.



Memo to Michael Moore: The Sundance Channel will air “Uncovered: The Whole Truth About the Iraq War,” Robert Greenwald’s controversial 2003 documentary about the Bush administration’s campaign to oust Saddam Hussein and find those pesky WMD. It debuts Sept. 6.

“Uncovered,” which is highly critical of Bush, was originally sold as a DVD over the Internet. The activist Web site Moveon.org organized house parties across the country for private viewings.
