COLUMBUS, Ga. – Catherine “Kitty” Geerling Woodward of Columbus, Ga., died June 2.

She was born Aug. 30, 1925, and was a retired high school teacher, a talented artist and had published several poetry books. She also enjoyed traveling and made several trips to Maine, to visit with relatives.

Survivors include her husband, Woody Woodward; her only sister, Violet Geerling Jalbert of Auburn; five children; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
