BRUNSWICK – Neal A. Cartonio Jr., 57, of Old Lewiston Road, West Gardiner, died Saturday, June 19, at Mid Coast Hospital.

Born in Portland, July 27, 1946, the son of Neal A. and Marjorie Young Cartonio Sr., he married Genesta Cummings on Aug. 17, 1963.

For 34 years, Mr. Cartonio worked as a manager for New England Telephone. Mr. Cartonio was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Surviving besides his wife of West Gardiner is a daughter, Wendy C. Elwell and her husband, Robert of Lisbon Falls; a son, Wilmer R. Cartonio and his wife, Son-hui of Alaska; a sister, Theresa Thurlow of Burlington; three brothers, Raymond Ellsworth of Sabattus, Robert Ellsworth of Georgia, and Ralph Cartonio of Gorham; and four grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a sister, Dolly Deering.
