KINGFIELD – Music of the Bangor Symphony Orchestra will fill the hills of Kingfield on Saturday during the second annual Kingfield Pops. Opening for the symphony will be the Western Mountain Trash Can Band, a local steel drum ensemble, followed by the Edith Jones Project, an all-female big band from Portland. The evening will culminate with fireworks at dusk.
Free parking will be available at New England Wire Co. and Kingfield Wood Products on Depot Street, about a half-mile from Kennedy Farm. A free shuttle bus will run from the parking lots to the farm. Handicapped parking will be available on Route 142 next to the field.
