WEST PARIS – Minabelle Strout McMillin, 77, died Tuesday, June 22, at Ledgeview Living Center.

Born in Philip, S.D., Sept. 6, 1926, the daughter of William J. and Hazel Lane Strout, she attended South Dakota schools and Woodstock High School in Bryant Pond.

In 1943, she married Frederick J. McMillin and they resided in Bethel. She was a loving and caring mother, who was always there when her family needed her. For a number of years, she was employed at the Bethel Inn. She was also employed at the Conservation School in Bryant Pond with her mother as cooks and everyone loved the food. Among her special interests were traveling around Maine, and working in her flower gardens. She was a very good family historian and could remember names, dates and places.

Howe of Bryant Pond; two sons, Delma Frederick of Bethel and John Allen and his wife, Merrilee of South Gardiner; three grandsons, James Albert and his wife, Julie Whitman of Locke Mills, William F.
