MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) – John-Ford Griffin homered and scored a pair of runs to lead the New Hampshire Fisher Cats to a 3-1 win over the Portland Sea Dogs Friday night.

Griffin scored the deciding run in the seventh inning when he reached on an error, advanced to second on a balk and scored on Maikel Jova’s double. New Hampshire (39-33) added another run in the eighth inning as Justin Singleton doubled home Victor Valencia.

Griffin’s solo home run gave New Hampshire a 1-0 lead in the second inning. Portland (35-39) tied the score at 1-1 in the fourth inning on back-to-back doubles by Kenny Perez and Raul Nieves, ending New Hampshire starter Cam Reimers’s franchise-record scoreless inning streak. Brandon League (2-3) pitched three scoreless to pick up the win.

James Johnson (0-1) took the loss.
