I wish that the well-meaning, outstanding Edward Little High School honor students had chosen to negotiate a far more tasteful graduation address tack.

Agreeably, “good taste” can wear many faces. However, when viewed in a cultural context, their theme choice and the apparent administrative approval reflect how far we have strayed from the path of discretion and dignity.
