FARMINGTON – Everyone’s Resource Depot has planned its annual July Arts and Crafts workshops. These programs are open to creative kids of all ages and will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays during July at the depot in Franklin Hall of the University of Maine at Farmington.

Each workshop will feature a variety of craft projects using scrap materials. Topics for each session are: July 6 and 8, Critter Creations; July 13 and 15, Toys and Games; July 20 and 22, Mobiles and Mosaics; July 27 and 29, treasure boxes. A small fee of $1 will be charged for materials and instruction.

ERD is presently offering help to those in the community who are planning summer programs for children. Many sample projects have been constructed and idea sheets are available on request. Examples of inexpensive scrap materials in good supply are leather pieces and laces, a variety of paper, felt and canvas, colorful foam pieces and beads, wood turnings, telephone wire and wallpaper books.
