AUGUSTA – Carolann Ouellette, former manager of Sugarloaf Inn, has joined the Maine Office of Tourism as senior tourism officer.

A resident of Hallowell and Jackman, Ouellette is a past president of the Maine Tourism Association, chaired the Jackman Revolving Loan Fund and served as steering committee member of the Old Canada Road Scenic Byway Corridor Management Plan. She owns and operates the Moose Point Tavern in Jackman.

She holds an undergraduate degree in hotel administration from Cornell University.

A longtime outdoor enthusiast, Ouellette has been a licensed whitewater guide since 1988 and holds a private pilot’s license. She is also an avid skier, snowmobiler, hiker and boater.
