NORWAY – Dr. Constance G. Hartwell-Cincotti, 92, of Cobb Hill Road, died Sunday evening, July 4, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 5, 1912, in Springfield, Mass., a daughter of Brig. Gen. Herbert Francis and Georgia M. (Rodick) Hartwell. She graduated from Boston University, College of Liberal Arts in 1932, and from the B.U. Medical School in 1935.

Her internship was at the Memorial Hospitals in the South End of Boston and Brighton, residency at the Boston Veterans Administration Hospital.

Dr. Cincotti was a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society (Norfolk County) and the American Psychiatric Assoc. She practiced psychiatry for 38 years under her maiden name (Hartwell) for the Veterans Admin. in Boston and Northampton, Mass., before retiring in 1995, to Otisfield. She married Col. John J. Cincotti, M.D., a surgeon from the North End of Boston, May 22, 1937. He died in 1969.

Surviving are four children, Victoria H.C. Rogers, John Christian Hartwell, Justin H. Cincotti all of Otisfield, Patience H.C. Mason of High Springs, Fla.; two sisters, Priscilla Hartwell of Palmer, Mass., Patience Davis of Sun City West, Ariz.; a half-sister, Jean York of Rye, N.H.; three grandchildren, Jack Mason, Lavinia and William Rogers; one great-grandson, Jack Mason III.
