DOVER, N.H. – Alice Ruth (Bussier) Hopper, 56, of Springfield Estates died Friday, July 2, at the Wentworth Douglass Hospital, after a brief illness.

Born in Camden, May 25, 1948, she was the daughter of James and Marjorie (O’Donnell) Trout.

Ms. Hopper had lived in Rochester for 15 years, after moving from Epping. She was employed as a resource manager at Thermopol for the past six years. She also owned and operated The Niche in Dover, N.H. She was a graduate of Camden/Rockport High School and later received her bachelor’s degree at Hesser College, where she graduated cum laude and was pursuing her master’s degree. She enjoyed playing the piano, collecting antiques and reading.

Members of her family include her stepson, Jeffrey Bussier of Lewiston; a stepdaughter, Deborah Jewett of Poland; a stepgranddaughter, Brenda-Leigh Cheeseman; a stepgrandson, Tristan Bussier; her mother, Marjorie Trout of Bushnell, Fla.; sisters, Jodice Trout of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Catherine Coneita of Tuscon, Ariz.; a brother, Kenneth Trout of Rockland; eight nieces and nephews; four great-nieces and nephews; and one stepnephew.

She was predeceased by her father, James C. Trout; and her first husband, Denis Bussier.
