Property tax bills totaling $3,349,542 will be mailed out by Tax Collector Pauline Paradis on Monday, July 12. Bills are due within 30 days. Those remaining unpaid after that date will be assessed a 6.5 percent per year delinquency charge, which is down from last year’s 7 percent.

Durham: People added to school group

The School Committee has named representatives from town government and the general public to the new Community School District Committee, which will explore the feasibility of forming a district with Lisbon to build a high school.

The panel will study the issue and make recommendations to the town in the fall. Members include: Tim Asselyn and Wesley Bennett, selectmen; Jane Blais and Amber Snell, School Committee; Allan Purinton, Budget Committee; Gene Brown, Lisa Burch, Jeff Darling, Chris Logan, Laurie Poissonnier, John Snell, Gary Spring and Dan or Lily Sylvester.
