BETHEL – Through the combined efforts of the Rumford CareerCenter, Telstar Adult Education, the Bethel Rotary and Region 9 a new, safe, affordable deck was made possible for a family in the local area.

Region 9 instructor Norm Jamison had two of his students, Aaron Barton and Brian Child, build the deck at Region 9 as part of their class work. On the morning of June 3, instructors Jamison and Lloyd Williams, along with Aaron, Brian and a third student, Neil McKenna, delivered and assembled the deck for the family.

The students were presented certificates from the Rumford CareerCenter for community service for the hours they donated to the project.
