LEWISTON – Doris Etta Langelier, 87, of 85 Prospect Ave., died Wednesday, July 7, at her home.
Born in Lewiston, Oct. 15, 1916, a daughter of Olin and Pearl Hinds Taylor. She attended Webster School in Auburn and was married to Roger Albert Langelier July 10, 1966. He died Aug. 12, 2000.
She worked in the shoe industry at Rock Maple, Wood & Smith, and Cushman Shoe retiring in 1978. Following her retirement, she worked in housekeeping at the Steer House Restaurant and at Northeast Bank.
Mrs. Langelier loved having her family over to her home and always enjoyed cooking for them. She was past president of the American Legion Post 22 Lewiston Auxiliary, where she prepared lunch for the Friday evening meetings.
She is survived by her daughters and spouses, Shirley L. Greeley of Lewiston, Janice and Daniel Leonas of Poland, Beverly and Frederick Schwab of Brunswick, Donna and William Morris of Walls, Miss.; her son, Bruce Bordeau and his wife, Patricia of Rochester, N.H.; her stepchildren and spouses, Maureen and Hank Hardaway of Moultonboro, N.H., Marlene and John Semetauskis of Leeds, Marc Langelier of Lisbon Falls, Martin and Beth Langelier of Monmouth; 23 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Phyllis Smith of Bethel, Helen Chicoine of Lewiston, Joyce and her husband, Bradley King of Prince Frederick, Md.; her brother, Edward and wife, Anita Taylor of Greene.
She was predeceased by a sister, Arlene Johnson; and her brothers, Owen and Sumner Taylor.
