NORWAY – Veterans representing World War II, Korea and Desert Storm gathered on May 21 at the Norway Memorial Library to share their experiences and memories of times of war.

Many veterans filled out brief biographical forms and were photographed for inclusion in the library’s Oxford Hills Community Veterans Notebook, available for viewing in the library. The event provided a public venue for veterans to discuss their personal recollections about service in the military.

World War II era music was provided by George Flint. Refreshments were served, books and war-time artifacts were on display, and Peter Lenz filmed the event for broadcast on NPC-TV.

Any Oxford Hills veteran who would like to be included in the library’s Veterans Notebook can call the library at 743-5309 for details.
