NORWAY – More than 75 artists will display their work along Main Street’s sidewalks during Saturday’s Norway Summer Festival.
This is the third year that the art show, in its 32nd year, has been expanded to include food, music, entertainment and poetry.
There will also be a road race, a library book sale, a yard sale and an art exhibit of the works of Vivian Akers, one of Norway’s early impressionist painters.
The festival organizers, Norway Downtown Revitalization, have made up T-shirts with an Akers painting of Norway Lake on the front. The shirts will be on sale at the revitalization group’s booth in the town parking lot next to the L.F. Pike & Son clothing store.
A collection of Akers’ work will be displayed at the Memorial Library through July 17, and a brochure highlighting his life will be available at the festival.
