FRYEBURG – The International Musical Arts Institute is beginning its eighth season of summer chamber music concerts at Fryeburg Academy.

The concerts on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings continue during July.

On Friday, July 9, the institute’s annual International Night will feature works by Bloch, Chopin and Schubert performed by Artistic Director Eric Rosenblith on violin and senior resident artist Heng-Jin Park, piano. Audience members have a chance to win a season multi-admission ticket; audience members also are invited to a reception following that concert.

The program on Saturday evening, July 10, will feature Haydn’s String Quartet, Opus 54, No. 2; Mozart’s Piano Quartet in E-flat major, K. 493, and Dvorak’s Trio in E minor, Op. 90 (“Dumky”). All concerts begin at 7:30 in the Gibson Music Building on Bradley Street.
