AUBURN – Blues guitarist and legendary harmonica ace Paul deLay will perform from 8 to 10 p.m. Saturday, July 10, at the Midnight Blues Cafe and Restaurant, 34 Court St.

In two decades of touring the West Coast blues circuit, opening on larger stages for numerous national acts and releasing a half-dozen acclaimed recordings, The Paul deLay Band became known throughout the Pacific Northwest for hard-hitting blues and R&B.

Bandleader deLay is ranked among the finest blues harmonica players, and his work on the chromatic harp is considered by many to be unrivaled, according to a spokesman for the cafe.

Since rejoining the music scene in 1995 after taking a three-year writing sabbatical, deLay has sold out major blues venues and headlined festivals throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Reunited with his band, deLay continues to prove why he ranks as a top blues harmonica player, songwriter and vocalist.

Delay was named Best Blues Harmonica Player in 1997 by Real Blues magazine, fourth annual Real Blues Awards.
