AUBURN – Hall-Dale winning pitcher Nick Lucas scattered two hits enroute to an 11-0, 4 inning victory over New Auburn in District 5 (11-12 year old) youth baseball action Wednesday.

Hall-Dale erupted for eight runs in the bottom of the third inning to seal the victory.

Jake Levesque (three singles), Ryan Leach (triple, single), Luke Dunklee (triple), and Ryan Dorso (triple), paced Hall-Dale’s 10 hit attack. Corey Mohollan doubled and Zach Emmons single accounted for New Aburn’s hits.

Hall-Dale will play the winner of the Lewiston Elliot-Augusta East matchup on Saturday in Gardiner.

Auburn Suburban wins Junior championship

AUBURN – Adam Lutz tossed a two-hitter to lift the Auburn Suburban Juniors to a 12-1 win over Elliot Avenue Little League and notch the District 5 Junior Championship Wednesday evening. Kyle Bussiere and Eric Prue led the torrid offense of 14 hits with three apiece. Bussiere had a pair of doubles, while Prue and Michael Lutz chipped in with a double each. Nate Parker and Robbie Leeman each had a hit for Elliot Avenue.

The 13-14 year old squad advances to the state tournament to be held in Bangor from July 24th to August 1st.
