LEWISTON – Lawrence “Larry” F. Mathieu, 44, of Greene died Wednesday, July 7, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

He was born in Lewiston on July 29, 1959, the son of Guy and Antoinnette (Therriault) Mathieu. He was a graduate of Lewiston High School. “Larry” was employed for the past 27 years at Bath Iron Works. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, gardening, landscaping and working in and around the house.

His greatest pleasure was washing, waxing and maintaining his most precious possession, his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, which he enjoyed riding in the great outdoors. He was a member of Holy Family Church.

Besides his mother of Sabattus, he is survived by one son, Tom L. Mathieu of Greene; one daughter, Lisa L. Mathieu of Clearwater Fla.; four brothers, Marcel of Sabattus, David of Ocala, Fla., John of St. Petersburg, Fla., Roger and his wife Linda of Sabattus; one sister, Linda and her husband Michael Bullard of Orlando, Fla.; four nephews, Adam, Scott, Jason and Justin; three nieces, Angela, Brianna and Michelle; a great-aunt; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father in 1995.
