AUBURN – The Timothy J. Mynahan Foundation announces the TJM Scholarship recipient for 2004. The $2,500 scholarship has been awarded to Jon Tefft, a 2004 graduate of Lisbon High School.

Criteria for selection of the scholarship are academic and athletic excellence, and commendable leadership ability.

Tefft is a three-sport varsity athlete.

Participating in football, ice hockey and baseball, he achieved notable athletic and leadership distinction in all three sports.

He was a Campbell Conference All-Star in 2002 and 2003 and recipient of the John Taglienti Football Award for Campbell Conference Player of the Year. In baseball he attained Mountain Valley Conference Baseball All-Star status.

Tefft achieved academic excellence throughout his high school years through commitment and extraordinary work ethic. His academic obligation was exemplified by earning the distinction of the Perfect Attendance Award.

He was a member of the Math Team, Science Olympiad, Interact Club, Student Government and served as a peer counselor.

Tefft will attend Husson College in Bangor in the fall. He is the son of Timothy and Irene Tefft of Lisbon Falls.
