PARIS – The Swingin’ Bears Square Dance Club of South Paris held graduation exercises for two couples, Jim and Jean Kroitzsh of Hebron and Stephen and Regina Bernard of Poland, on May 19.

Eleanor Herrick of Auburn, vice president, led the exercises and awarded the diplomas, assisted by Sue Corning of South Paris, president. Angel badges were issued to members who attended the class lessons to help the new dancers learn the calls.

Receiving the awards and certificates of appreciation were Chandler Wright of Greenwood, who also received a 100 percent badge for perfect attendance, Sue and Dwight Corning of South Paris, Eleanor and Bob Herrick of Auburn, Cathy and Bob Thorpe of Auburn, Esther and Erland Tucker of Poland, Alberta Keene and Bert Leonard of Norway, Bill Ricker of Hartford, Joan, Julie and Dick Deans of Hebron, Ginny and Gordon Knight of Waterford, Gloria and Carroll Wadsworth of South Paris.

John Thompson, club caller, called a fun dance for all in attendance and refreshments were served.
