FARMINGTON – Benjamin Josef Fairley Donnell, “Ben”, “Benji”, 5, of Livermore Falls, died accidentally Thursday afternoon, July 8, at his grandfather’s home.
He was born Feb. 7, 1999, in Farmington, the son of Dana and Lisabeth (Farley) Donnell. He had attended Androscoggin Head Start in Livermore Falls for two years.
“Benji” lived life to the fullest, taking all of the energy of the day and running with it! He liked four-wheeling with his Uncle Joel, spending time on Uncle Jim and Aunt Deb’s farm where he loved his “Chub,” a Percheron horse. He loved dogs, his cat, “Doubles,” watching cartoons, hunting and fishing shows and NASCAR with his dad. “Benji” liked riding bikes, playing with Care Bears and playing with his three best buddies, Ryan, Jacob and Delaney.
“Benji” particularly liked being in the presence of his beloved 7-year-old big sister, Caroline, whom he called “Connie” and was proud of being known as “Caroline’s Little Brother.”
His mom and dad believe his purpose in this life was to show the potential goodness that can come from the relationship between a father and a son.
His mom and dad, Lisabeth and Dana, survive him as well as his big sister, Caroline Donnell all of Livermore Falls; his maternal grandfather, James W. Farley of Farmington; three uncles, James A. Farley and his wife, Deb, of Chesterville, Jonathan A. Farley and his wife, Luann, of Scarborough and Joel A. Farley and his wife, Felicia, of Ellsworth; several great-aunts, uncles and cousins.
“Benji” was predeceased by two grandmothers, Ruth D. Farley and Opal V. Donnell.
