BERLIN, N.H. – Joseph A. Labonte, 89, passed away Friday, July 9, at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital.

He was born in Lewiston, Aug. 28, 1914, he was the son of the late Aime and Florida (Blais) Labonte.

Mr. Labonte was employed as a pipefitter by the Brown Co., retiring in 1977, and was a member of Local 75.

He is survived by his wife, Beatrice E. (Couture) Labonte; four sons, Roland and his wife, Barbara of West Bend,Wis., Leo and his wife, Carol of Randolph, Vt., George and his wife, Anne-Marie of Berlin, N.H., and Andre and his wife, Karen of Gorham, N.H.; four daughters, Therese Campagna and her husband, Paul of Sun City Center, Fla., Lucille Pepin and her husband, Leo of Bedford, N.H., Elaine Labonte of Manchester, N.H., and Janet Foss and her husband, Kevin of Penacook, N.H.; two brothers, Bertrand Labonte and Romeo Labonte and his wife, Doris, all of Berlin, N.H.; sisters, Beatrice Arsenault of Berlin, N.H., Anita Filteau of Berlin, N.H., Rhea Langevin and her husband, Donald of Berlin, N.H., Gisele Sheridan and her husband, Frank of Ocala, Fla., and Irene Oleson and her husband, Carl of Berlin, N.H.; 22 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by one brother, Maurice Labonte.
