LEWISTON – City Republicans will hold a special caucus to nominate a candidate for the Maine House of Representatives to replace the District 74 Republican nominee who recently withdrew.

The caucus will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, at the Lewiston Multi-Purpose Center, Room B. For further information, phone Barry Putnam at 784-1720.

Under state law, a party must call a caucus of all duly registered Republican members of the local committee who reside in the affected legislative district to nominate a new candidate for the November election.
