LEWISTON – Football League for Youth (FLY) will be conducting registration for the upcoming season, July 15 and 16, from 6-8 p.m., at Lewiston’s Multi-Purpose Center on Birch Street. The sign-ups are for football players and cheerleaders.

The divisions are as follows: Instructional (flag), boys and girls, ages 6-7, $25 per child; Junior Division (tackle), boys and girls, ages 8-10, $60 for first child, $25 for additional; Senior Division (tackle), boys and girls, ages 11-13, $60 first child, $25 additional.

Youngsters must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at time or registration, and show a valid birth certificate.

The FLY program operates on Sundays at Lewiston Athletic Park behind Lewiston Armory. Opening day is Sunday, August 29.

The league will conclude with all-star games on October 24.

Auburn Rec sign-ups

AUBURN-Registration will continue through August 9 for the Auburn Rec 7th-8th-grade cheering and footbalL program.

Eligible for the football program are those 14 or younger on October 15, and residing in Auburn, Minot, Poland or Mechanic Falls. The entry fee is $110 for residents, and $145 for non-residents. Participants must show proof of having passed a sports physical within 2 years of the start of the season.

Entry fee for the cheering program is $50 for residents and $75 for non-residents.
