LONDON (AP) – Prince Charles hosted a party Sunday in Hyde Park for thousands of revelers, entertained by stars including Lenny Kravitz and Avril Lavigne.

Other acts at the outdoor benefit for The Prince’s Trust charity included Jamelia, Alanis Morisette, Nelly Furtado, The Corrs and Lionel Richie.

Charles chatted with performers and watched the show from a royal box.

“The prince asked me what I was doing, I told him about my tour,” Kravitz said. “It’s been a while since we met.”

London’s Metropolitan police said about 85,000 people jammed the park for the concert.

The Prince’s Trust helps troubled young people gain skills and begin to work. Last year’s Party in the Park raised more than $1.8 million for the group.
