LISBON – A total of 102 paddlers participated in the weekend Chief Worumbo’s Androscoggin River fun race “Thunder Moon”. The event took place from the Durham boat launch to Sabattus River Park.

Setting a new record in the female kayak category was Paula Lunt with a time of 52:13. Second was Jan Stenberg, 64:31, followed by Susan Hoyt, 65:04.

Besting the record he helped set last year in the Weekend Warriors division (for canoes designed for racing) was Chip Loring, along with his partner Ken Cushman, with a clocking of 45:30. Austin Conrad-Coleen Luba were second, 46:55, followed in third by Mark Peters-Bill Bakes, 50:02.
