LEWISTON – John J. Pelletier, 41, formerly of South Paris, died Monday evening, July 12, at Russell Park Manor, following a long battle with Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

He was born Oct. 31, 1962, in Caribou, the son of Donald J. and Alphena M. Gaudreau Pelletier. He attended Auburn schools, graduating from Edward Little High School.

He served in the U.S. Army for three years, two being in Germany. He worked for Geneco Construction and for Wonder Bread. He was involved in softball, pool and dart leagues and was at one time the Tri-County champion in darts. He also enjoyed auto racing.

Survivors include his father of Auburn; a daughter, Tracey Ann Pelletier, of Leeds; son, Tyler J. Pelletier, of Norway; stepsons, Zachery and Kevin Dyer, both of Leeds; a special friend and caregiver, Mary Floyd, of Livermore Falls; sisters, Ann Humphrey and her husband, Walter, of Auburn and Penny Corbin and her husband, Zeno, of Auburn; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
