BYRON – Scott D. Kubic, 30, of Mexico, died Saturday, July 10, as a result of a car accident in Byron. He was a resident of Poplar Hill in Mexico and had lived in the area all his life.

Born in Rumford, July 28, 1973, the son of Samuel and Cynthia (Virgin) Kubic, he graduated from Dirigo High School, Class of 1991.

He was formerly employed by Highland Lumber and Irving Forest Products in Dixfield.

He loved his family and the outdoors, especially fishing with his wife, Ericka and daughter, Jade and his best friends, Brandon, John John, Justin and Cory.

He was married Sept. 29, 2001, to the former Ericka Jean Hamner, who survives of Mexico; a daughter, Jade Kubic of Mexico; his parents, Samuel and Cynthia Kubic of Weld; maternal grandfather, Ralph Virgin Sr., of Carthage; his mother and father-in-law, Geri Viger and Gerard Hamner; several aunts and uncles; and his favorite dog, “Neko.”
