WEST PARIS – West Paris Grange 298 observed CWA Night preceded by a supper recently. CWA means community Women (in) Action Committee. They earn the money by sales at meetings and a spring and fall sale each year.

That, along with the monthly suppers put on by Ceres Mary Lovejoy, keep the grange financially balanced. CWA chairwoman is Peggy Blake.

Officers for the evening were: master, Jeanne Burnham; overseer, Bertha DeHaas; lecturer, Yvonne Johnson; steward, Yvonne Nowlin; assistant steward, Linda Sherman; lady assistant steward, Maxine Roak; chaplain, Lucille Robbins; Gatekeeper, Jackie Stevens; secretary, Laura Hutchins; treasurer, Nancy Dewing; Ceres, Ruby Meisner; Pomona, Pat Breame; Flora, Nina Grover; musician, Dot Canwell; executive committee, Mary Andrews, Gloria Abbott and Vickie Clark; CWA committee, Anna Swan, Betty Bragg and Mary Hoover.

Blake prepared a program and it was presented by Anna Swan and Yvonne Johnson. There were 16 past and present CWA members present with 36 grangers attending in all.
