LEWISTON – A. Robert Orsini, 72, of Harrison, died Thursday, July 15, at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born in Southbridge, Mass., on Oct. 26, 1931, the son of Antonio and Mary Martino Orsini. He graduated from high school in Southbridge and received an associate’s degree from Worcester Junior College.

He had been employed at AT & T from 1954 to 1980. He then worked for Bell Communications until his retirement in 1987. He was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Norway, the Kora Temple, the Oxford County Shrine Club, the Scottish Rites and the Crooked River Lodge AF & AM.

He was chairman of the board of American RSD Hope. He enjoyed antique restoration and was an accomplished organist and pianist. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army in Korea. He married Marilyn Sheriffs on Sept. 22, 1959.

He is survived by his wife, of Harrison; four sons, Ronald, of Raymond, Robert, of Evans, Ga., Keith, of South Portland and Kevin, of Upper Arlington, Ohio; a daughter, Karen Toner, of Harrison; two brothers, Richard, of Dudley, Mass., and Leonard, of Burlington, Mass.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
