AUBURN – There will be a program on “Survival in the Outdoors” for teens from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 19, at the Auburn Public Library located in the Auburn Mall.
A wilderness expert from Eastern Mountain Sports will be the speaker. Snacks will be provided and some special items will be given to each attendee to stock their own survival kit. Younger children are welcome.
Senior Fun Day
LEWISTON – The Lewiston Senior Citizens will hold their annual Senior Fun Day, open to the public, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, at the American Legion Post 31, 426 Washington St., Auburn.
The day will have a patriotic theme in honor of the troops. Events will include bingo, games, raffles, 50/50, patriotic costume contest, door prize, a buffet, patriotic music and special entertainment by Present Company.
Tickets are $15. The winner of a 19-inch color TV will be drawn. Tickets can be purchased from members of Lewiston Senior Citizens or at the Senior Office at the Multi-Purpose Center, 145 Birch St.

Bridge winners
LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club met on July 13 at the Multi-Purpose Center.
North/south winners in Flight A were: first, Fred Letourneau and Anna Vitiello; second, Marlene Violette and Grace Merry; third, David Lock and Martine Begert. Flight B winners were: first, Marlene Violette and Grace Merry; second, Roger Briggs and Lucille Bilodeau.
East/west winners in Flight A were: first, Luke Merry and Nancy Lindgren; second, Mary Leahey and Eleanor Abraham; third, Ray Sirois and Ron Reynolds. Winners in Flight B were Larry Holmes and Bailey Geeslin.
Another game will be played at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, at the center. A partner is guaranteed.
The club also met on July 14 at Schooner Estates in Auburn. Winners were: first, Tom Dahlberg and David Wallace; second, Fred Letourneau and Sherry Hinckley; third, Paul Barber and Luke Merry; fourth, John Hackett and Ray Sirois; fifth, Thomas Seder and Anna Vitiello.
