LEWISTON – Dr. Karim Yacoub recently joined the medical staff at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. He is a geriatrician and board certified internist with offices at the Center for Senior Medicine at 100 Campus Ave.

Yacoub is also the medical director at d’Youville Pavilion nursing home.

Yacoub was born in Cairo, Egypt, is fluent in Arabic and French as well as English.

He most recently served as a Fellow of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Wisconsin, Madison Medical School. Prior to that he was a resident at the Cairo University Hospitals in Egypt and then completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Illinois School of Medicine, Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago.
