LEWISTON – Mabel H. Ingham, 96, of 102 Campus Ave., died Thursday, July 15, at d’Youville Pavilion.

She was born in Berlin, N.H., on May 8, 1908, the daughter of George and Tacklier Haddad. She grew up and attended schools in Berlin and was a graduate of Berlin High School. In 1945, she moved to the Lewiston/Auburn area.

She worked at Raytheon and later worked for many years at Bonan Shoe in Auburn.

She dedicated many years of her life as a volunteer for the St. Jude Hospital helping to fight leukemia and also at the Maine Public Broadcasting Station.

She was a lifelong member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Lewiston and also a member of Horizon 55.

She is survived by her two sons, George Ingham, of Gorham and Michael Ingham, of Salem, Mass.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two nieces, Lois Howard, of Auburn and Barbara Wood, of Tennessee; three nephews, Dr. Warren Lux M.D., of California, Dr. Glenn Lux M.D., of Seattle, Wash., and Mark Howard, of Portland.

She was predeceased by one brother; and seven sisters.
