LEEDS – Steve and Pat Gerald of Oakland, along with Frank Kent of Winslow, wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathy Kent, to Travis Pettengill, son of Brody and Kim Pettengill of Leeds.
Miss Kent is a 1998 graduate of Messalonskee High School in Oakland, attended three years at Hunter College in Manhattan, N.Y., and returned to Maine to graduate from the University College of Bangor. She did her internship at the A.S.P.C.A. in Manhattan and is currently working at the Scarborough Animal Hospital in Scarborough.
Mr. Pettengill graduate in 1999 from Leavitt Area High School and also graduated in 2001 from Central Maine Technical College in Auburn with an associate degree in machine tool technology. He is currently employed at Titan Machine Products in Windham as a CNC machinist.
An Aug. 28 wedding is planned.
