PARIS – The McLaughlin Foundation will offer a tour of the key public gardens on Mt. Desert Island on Wednesday and Thursday, July 28 and 29. The tour costs $295 and includes all transportation, lodging and dining costs as well as a carriage ride and entry fees to the gardens. Limit is 12. Aid for family
PARIS – The United Valley Chapter, American Red Cross, responded to a single-family house fire this week in South Paris. Two emergency/disaster relief staff members were at the scene rendering assistance to the three individuals displaced by the fire. Arrangements were made to locally lodge, feed and provide basic clothing needs.
The assistance individuals typically receive is in the form of a disbursement order, a voucher, that can be used at local retailers, grocery stores or restaurants to acquire items to meet their basic, temporary needs.

Berlin concert
BERLIN, N.H. – Gary Sred-zienski, internationally known accordionist, will return to the Community Arts Center, 155 Emery St., at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, with a new show and many new accordions. Tickets are $10, available at the door.
