FARMINGTON – The 44th annual Farmington Falls Fire Co. Parade and Field Day not only attracted residents both young and old Saturday, but also brought everyone together under this year’s theme of “Life’s Celebrations.”

Members of the Farmington American Legion led the way with flags in hand as locals lined the streets in hopes of catching candy and prizes tossed from the various floats. Musical accompaniment was provided by the Old Crow Indian Band. Some of the floats included in the parade were provided by the Union Baptist Church, local Girl and Boy Scouts and several fire trucks were courtesy of surrounding towns.

After the parade, a chicken barbecue was held at Philbrook Park. Those in attendance enjoyed the live music of Silver Seasons, followed by an afternoon ball game with plenty of fun and games for all.
