CANTON – Donald Bowman, 81, of Canton, died July 18.

He was born in Hebron on July 25, 1922, the son of Herbert and Daisy (Briggs) Bowman. He attended Hebron schools and had worked farming and apple picking most of his life.

He was an avid reader, was a Red Sox fan and a fan of Ford trucks. He was especially patriotic and very proud of his American Flag.

He is survived by one sister, Mildred Bowman Stanley, of Canton; and several cousins.
