PARIS – The Norway/Paris Solid Waste Board of Directors has decided to meet the third Wednesday of each month instead of Monday. The dates are: July 21, Aug. 18, Sept. 22, Oct. 20, Nov. 24 and Dec. 22, 2004; and Jan. 19, Feb. 16, March 16, April 20, May 18, and June 15, 2005. Unless a change of venue is announced, the meetings will take place at 7 p.m. in the Paris Town Office.

Democrats convening

MEXICO – The Oxford County Democrats will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 22, at the Mexico Town Hall. The regular meeting will be preceded by a potluck supper at 5:30 p.m. Democrats will be welcomes by Linda Petrie, candidate for the House of Representatives in District 93; state Rep. John Patrick of House District 92; and state Sen. Bruce Bryant of District 14. The meeting is open to anyone interested in electing Democrats in 2004 and will consist of planning for late summer and fall activities.
