BUCKFIELD – The Board of Selectmen on Tuesday night authorized Town Manager Cindy Dunn to purchase a used GMC one-ton truck with 9-foot plow and 2- to 3-yard dump body for $25,000 to replace the old one, provided specifications are in order.
The board also voted to give the go-ahead to install a guardrail at the CF Wells end of the discontinued portion of John Ellingwood Road, and to put two barricades at the end at Route 117.
The board is accepting applications for a new town manager until Aug. 3, which is also the date of the board’s next meeting.
