RUMFORD – Sally Stone, a 15-year veteran of the lab at Rumford Hospital, is now its clinical supervisor.

In her new position she will have the day-to-day, on-site responsibility for the lab and its personnel, with support from the Central Maine Medical Center laboratory manager. For several years, Rumford Hospital shared a lab manager, Susan Dube, with Bridgton Hospital. As Dube has taken on the management of additional departments at Bridgton, a new arrangement at Rumford was needed.

The Rumford Hospital laboratory is accredited by the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists.

Stone, a graduate of the laboratory technician school at Augusta General Hospital (now Maine General Medical Center), is a certified laboratory technician. She and her husband, Jerry, live in Dixfield and are the parents of two grown children.
