MECHANIC FALLS – There will be an Apostolic Pentecostal Campmeeting July 27 through 31 at the Advent Christian Campgrounds, Route 11. The Rev. and Mrs. Daniel Huba of Tallahassee, Fla., will be the evangelists.
Camp will begin with the 7 p.m. Tuesday service and continue with services at 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. The final service will be 10 a.m. Saturday.

Seniors picnic
AUBURN – Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet Wednesday, July 28, at the Alden M. Gayton Post 31, American Legion, 426 Washington St., for the annual indoor picnic. Doors will open at 10 a.m. Coffee and doughnuts will be served in the morning and at noon there will be a potluck luncheon, with hamburgers and hot dogs furnished.
Members are reminded to bring coffee cups. A variety of games will be played, along with bingo, to complete the day’s entertainment. Anyone is eligible to join Robin Dow Senior Citizens at age 55 and over, with no restrictions as to residence.
The group met July 14 with 61 present. Patt Bergeron was welcomed as a new member. July birthdays were acknowledged. Lee Koss reported trip chairwoman Evelyn Sawin is planning a foliage trip Sept. 24 to Hart’s Turkey Farm in New Hampshire and there will be more information at future meetings.
Bingo was played after a bag lunch. Attendance prize winners were Jim Lutz and Shirley Hawkins; pot of gold, Roger Briggs and Flo Webber.
Watershed meeting
WAYNE – The Berry, Dexter, Wilson Pond Watershed Association will have its annual meeting from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 31, at the Ladd Recreation Center.
From 8:30 to 9 members will meet, greet and pay dues ($10). At 9 a.m. David Lehman, Monmouth code enforcement officer, will speak about recent changes in building codes and their impact on the lakes and ponds.
At 9:30 a.m., Bill Monagle, Cobbossee Watershed District, will deliver a report on water quality and discuss the progress of the application to the Department of Environmental Protection to study the water quality of Wilson Pond.

Bus to visit
AUBURN – The C-SPAN School Bus will visit the Auburn Public Library at the Auburn Mall from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Aug. 2.
The bright yellow 45-foot motor coach, outfitted with video monitors, computers and television equipment, is half mobile learning lab and half working production studio. On its swing through the area, children, students and the public are invited to visit the bus and meet C-SPAN production personnel, who give ongoing interactive demonstrations on how public affairs programs are produced.
The bus will also stop at Marcotte Park in Lewiston from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3.
Library programs
RICHMOND – Children can discover new trails by enrolling in the Summer Reading Program at the Isaac F. Umberhine Library, 82 Main St. In August they will meet from 9:30 to 11 a.m. for stories, games, crafts and snacks every Thursday. Participation is limited.
