FARMINGTON – Mable Beisaw, 95, of Farmington, formerly of Wilton and North Jay, died early Saturday morning at Pinewood Terrace.

She was born June 17, 1909, in Jay, a daughter of Francis and Emmaline Collett Thibeault. She received her education in Jay schools and married Omer Biesaw in December of 1932 at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. He died in 1967.

Mrs. Beisaw worked at a local laundry at night, in local apple orchards and at the Goodspeed Novelty Mill in Wilton. She also assisted several local families over the years.

She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Wilton, and later at St. Joseph’s in Farmington.

She enjoyed doing embroidery and will be remembered as being a fantastic cook.

She is survived by one son, Edgar and his companion, Betty Welch, of Wilton; three sisters, Rose Therrien of Jay, Eva Ferrette of Canton, and Georgia Fullum of Augusta; one brother, Ted Thibault of Louisiana; 10 grandchildren, Rhonda deWildt, Mary Havtan and her husband Ron, Catherine Stanhura and her husband Doug, Jeff Beisaw and his companion Cindy Naakins, Kevin Beisaw, David Beisaw and his wife Kelly, Alan Beisaw and his companion Andrea Gilpatrick, Robert Beisaw and his companion Mindy Thomas, Dennis Beisaw and his companion Deidra Gijanto, and Michele Beisaw and her fianc Frank Catinella; 16 great-grandchildren; and a former daughter-in-law, Anne Beisaw of Wilton.
