WILTON – Pipe organ music will be featured when David Gallagher plays a program of classic and popular music at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, at the First Congregational Church on Main Street.

Music of Bach, Widor, Lemare and Hewitt will be included in the program for all ages. For children, there will be a special demonstration of the pipe organ, showing its many features, multiple keyboards and array of stops.

Gallagher is a longtime resident of Farmington. He has served as an organist for the Old South Church on Copley Square in Boston, and has played at a number of churches in the Greater Boston area and beyond. The organ at the Wilton church is one of the few pipe organs in Franklin County. It is an Austin Pipe Organ, manufactured by the Austin Co. of Hartford, Conn., in 1921.

Admission is free. Donations will be accepted to support a youth mission to Honduras.
